ROAD LOG: Week 1.

I'm out on the road again for work (the job that pays the bills). Our first stop was Altoona, PA. (I say our because I'll describe my coworker later). On the surface Altoona seems like an extremely hickified town on the east side of Pennsylvania. As i talked to a few of the natives (i say natives, in full knowledge that these are colonizers) I found a lot of the citizens had progressive beliefs and ideas. Maybe it was to appease the tall black man standing before them with two futuristic parts etched into his hightop fade, or maybe its the proximity to the major metropolitan settlements of New York and Philadelphia. A lot of these blue collar, Bud Light drinking, Sons of Anarchy looking caucasians scoffed at a fox news segment praising Donald Trump. Maybe there's hope for this nation after all.

Never judge a book by its cover.

Speaking of such, my coworker seemed to be a progressive. I asked him what type of music he listened to. (I judge people by their answer) He said "everything" except metal, mainly rap and classic rock. (Notice he said RAP, not hip hop) (you should also note that i'm a writing this while on the 3rd hour of listening to Garth Brooks Radio...)

I don't understand why (in 2018) pop country music is a thing... LIKE HAVE YOU NOT LISTENED TO OTHER TYPES OF MUSIC. Its like listening to Ariana Grande sung by Nicolas Cage.

I'm now on my way to Macomb, IL. A 12 hour drive, i don't know if I should scare him with the Bobby Sessions/Jay Rock playlist i created. (Fuck everything else, win win win win)
