#Truthbomb: You Belong Here

On Tuesday of this week, WMCAT an organization that I sub for received an award from the White House (see Previous Post). During Michelle Obama's speech she stated "Don't ever lose hope, don't ever feel fear, you belong here...". That statement resonated with me.

You belong here. No matter where you are at in this country, whether its in the offices of the largest banking corporation or in the streets, you should feel comfortable enough to be you. Many of the marginalized or "historically disenfranchised" feel that they don't belong here, especially with the recent political environment. BUT remember... You belong here. No one can take your power from you with out your permission. Own you own life, your own power, and you will achieve great things. The truth is you are put on this earth for a reason. You swam faster that 500,000 other cells and you made it this far. Why? You belong here.
